A Dedicated Community Building

The community has long aspired to have its own building. Accordingly, on December 11, 2019, a piece of land was purchased under the name "Puducherry Saurashtra (Palkar) Sabha".

In October 2022, the Saurashtra Sabha proposed the construction of a building on the acquired land to serve the community with essential public facilities and fulfill the following objectives:

Objectives:

To cover legal expenses and annual gathering expenses.
To support hospitality expenses for Saurashtra community members visiting Puducherry for personal, business, or leisure purposes.
To support education for Saurashtra students by:
- Providing study materials as donations.
- Paying tuition fees.
- Offering guidance for higher education.
To guide students towards prestigious positions such as IAS & IPS through:
- Special training and motivational sessions conducted by experts from top educational sectors of the state and central governments.
- Conducting IT-related language training programs to help students excel in the software industry.

Financial Estimation:

Estimated cost for the construction of the building: ₹80 lakh.

On August 23, 2023, the "Vastu Pooja" ceremony was performed for the proposed building, and some photographs from the event are displayed below.

சமூகம் நீண்ட காலமாக தனக்கென ஒரு கட்டிடம் வேண்டும் என்று நினைத்து வருகிறது. அதன்படி,
2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 11ஆம் தேதி 'புதுச்சேரி சௌராஷ்ட்ரா (பல்கார்) சபை' என்ற பெயரில்
ஒரு மனை வாங்கப்பட்டது.

அக்டோபர் 2022-ல், சௌராஷ்ட்ரா சபை சமூகத்தின் மக்களுக்கு பொதுவான பயன்பாட்டுச் சேவைகளுடன், கீழே குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள நோக்கங்களை நிறைவேற்றும் வகையில், வாங்கிய நிலத்தில் ஒரு கட்டிடத்தை எழுப்ப முன்மொழிந்தது:

சட்டப்பூர்வ செலவுகள் மற்றும் வருடாந்திர ஒன்று கூடல் நிகழ்வுச் செலவுகளை சந்திக்க
தனிப்பட்ட, வணிக, அல்லது பொழுதுபோக்கு நோக்கங்களுக்காக புதுச்சேரிக்கு வருகை தரும் சௌராஷ்ட்ரா சமூகத்தினருக்கு விருந்தோம்பல் செலவுகளை சந்திக்க
சௌராஷ்ட்ரா மாணவர்களின் கல்விக்குத் தேவையான ஆதரவு வழங்குதல்
- படிப்புப் பொருட்கள் நன்கொடையாக வழங்குதல்
- கல்விக் கட்டணம் செலுத்துதல்
- உயர்கல்விக்கான வழிகாட்டுதல்
ஐ.ஏ.எஸ், ஐ.பி.எஸ் போன்ற உயர்ந்த பதவிகள் அடைவதற்கான வழிகாட்டுதல்
- மாணவர்களுக்கு மாநில மற்றும் மத்திய அரசுகளின் தலைசிறந்த கல்வித் துறையின் வல்லுநர்கள் வழங்கும் சிறப்பு பயிற்சி மற்றும் ஊக்கப்பேச்சுகள்
- மென்பொருள் துறையில் சிறந்து விளங்க வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கத்துடன், வேலை சார்ந்த கணினி மொழிக் கல்வி வகுப்புகள் நடத்துதல்

நிதி மதிப்பீடு:

கட்டிட கட்டுமானத்திற்கான மதிப்பீட்டுச் செலவு: ரூ. 80 லட்சம் வரை.

23 ஆகஸ்ட் 2023 அன்று நடைபெற்ற 'வாஸ்து பூஜை' நிகழ்வின்போது எடுக்கப்பட்ட சில படங்களை கீழே காணலாம்.

Location of the Building

The land is situated in a peaceful and accessible area:

Sun Avenue, Morattandi,Thiruchitrambalam Village & Panchayat, Puducherry.

This facility is envisioned to host cultural events, social gatherings, and community welfare activities while symbolizing the unity and progress of the Saurashtra community.
